Sunday Funnies: Mad About Happy Days

Two of Teen Groove's favorite pastimes, reading Mad magazine and watching Happy Days, together in one post. How's that for self-indulgent sharing? From Mad #187 (Cover dated December 1976), here's "Crappy Days" by Arnie Kogen and Angelo Torres. Enjoy, Groove-ophiles!

  1. Was sad to read recently on Mark Evanier's website that Mad Magazine is gradually winding down. Evanier anticipated the mag would go the way a lot of mags are going these days.....shutting down entirely. Mad was loaded with talented creators at one point, but in recent years seemed to struggle to replace guys like Davis, Jacobs, etc.

Must be scary times for folks that work for magazines. (Hey....wait a minute....that's what I work for!! Yikes!!!)

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
